Hall of Fame

Some of you may have read that I am being given an award by the Governor of California this week, and inducted into the California Hall of Fame. It’s an honor that I’m very grateful for, and a big event. I don’t know all the details yet, but it’s very exciting. I think it is for my writing, and my foundation work, both with the mentally ill and the homeless. And my children are impressed, which is always nice!!

There is an award ceremony, where I will get the award. And several other people will also be getting an award. It’s an honor that touches me deeply.

After I get the award, I will tell you all about it!!! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! And thank you for sharing this exciting event with me!!!

Congratulations! I am a huge fan of your work and found this page because I wanted a list of all of the books you have written, and I am proud to say I have 68 hardbacks and 4 paperbacks, as well as 4 of your children’s books. At 23 I may be your youngest most passionate fan, but that is because I find myself very attached to your characters, and when I am done reading a book, I still find myself intwined in their lives. Its like they become real people to me, like family or friends, and the way that you depict them makes me feel for them, and hurt for them and cry and laugh with them. I found what I was looking for and now plan to go get the books that are missing from my collection, but just wanted to say thank you for your talent and creativity and congratulations on a reward that is well deserved!

It is strange thinking of Arnold giving you an award. The tought and the romance. The violence and the love. Such an ironic contrast. You deserve the award, but keep knowing that you give all of us such wonderful experience with your words. Thank you and sorry for my awkfull english!!

Danielle, I have been reading your books for over 20 some years. You have always been my favorite author. When I was young my mother started buying your books for me (all in hardback because I didn;t want them in paperback. My dream was to one day be able to afford a nice bookshelf to put all of your books on. My mother passed away a few years ago but I have continued to buy all of your books. I live in in aparment complex that I rent a storage unit from. By accident one of the office clerks gave the key to my unit to a new couple and they assumed that whoever had rented the unit previously had left things that they didn’t want in it. the office personal told them to dispose of anything that they didn’t want and without my knowing it the couple took my belongings out and put them in the dumpster. I had six or seven totes full of hardback books that were put in the dumpster and compacted. I have continued to buy your books as soon as they are released but was wondering if there would be a way that i could ever get all of your books (in hard back) that I lost. The books that i lost meant something to me because my mother bought them for me but i still hope to someday get them all back. thank you in advance!!!!!! Leigh
